Corporate Actions

CBF offers customers fully automated corporate actions monitoring and reporting. 

The service includes all corporate events for securities held in collective safe custody. 

The reporting sent via SWIFT MT 564 and MT 566 complies fully with ISO 15022 corporate action messaging standards.

Event lifecycle monitoring

30 working days before the event Clearstream sends customers the event information available. If the event details change, the event is cancelled, or if the customer acquires a holding in the security in the meanwhile, they are sent updated information. For voluntary or general meeting events customers can subscribe for reminders to be sent before the instruction deadline.

After the event, Clearstream provides confirmation of cash and securities accounting entries (including compensation) via SWIFT MT566.

Flexible services

Clearstream offers customers the opportunity to configure their corporate actions services to suit their needs. It is possible to choose between one event segment or a combination of several event segments. 

Customer are also able to choose whether they wish to receive both 'confirmed' and 'unconfirmed' pre-advice information or 'confirmed' information only. Confirmation of cash and securities accounting entries after an event is another optional service.

Income events

Provision of pre-advice information for all income events up to pay date.  Confirmation of payment on pay date.

Non-income events

Provision of pre-advice information for all non-income events up to ex date.  Confirmation on ex date.

Voluntary events

Provision of pre-advice information for all voluntary events with instruction deadline and exercise options up to the end of the offer period. Confirmation of instruction execution via MT566.

Proxy voting

Provision of pre-advice information relating to all general meeting events up to meeting date.
